Robbery nets $2 and a cane in Lehigh Acres

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. -- Two men were pistol whipped and a pregnant woman was sent into labor during an altercation in a Lehigh Acres home Thursday night.

According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, a pregnant married couple were walking to their apartment at Vista Palms around 10pm Thursday when they were approached by an armed black male.

The suspect demanded money and the male victim handed over the $2 he had in his wallet.  This angered the suspect. who stated "Do you wanna die?" several times before forcing the couple into their apartment at gunpoint.

Once inside, the husband got into an altercation with the suspect, and the husband's 67-year-old father joined the melee.  Both male victims were pistol-whipped, and the suspect grabbed the victim's mother's cane and fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’0”, 175 – 200 pounds, in his late 20s or early 30s, with a two to five inch beard, wearing a camouflage jacket, black cargo pants and a handkerchief on his face.  He used a black semi automatic pistol during the robbery.
