FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A search for a suspect in a theft investigation caused Tanglewood Elementary to lock down for about half an hour on Wednesday.

Deputies appeared to be centering their investigation one a home along Manchester Boulevard, just blocks away from the school.

Parents told Four In Your Corner it was unnerving not knowing what happened, but they have some kind of communication with their children inside the school who said they were safe.

A woman, who did not want to go on camera, told Fox 4 police found the suspect in her home, apparently breaking in to hide from police.

Few details about the manhunt were known by the time school let out, parent Robert Burns says he'd appreciate a little more information -- especially since these lock downs seem like they're getting to be a habit.

"I understand the police have a job to do, sometimes they have to keel that information, But I think the school needs a little more information for why these kids are on lock down, for the parents", said Burns.
