The search is on for a man who robbed the Capital Bank in Fort Myers late Thursday afternoon.
It happened at 12205 Metro Parkway just after 3:30 p.m. Investigators say the man walked into the bank and approached a teller, demanding cash. He did not show a weapon, but implied he had a gun.
He left the bank less than two minutes later, heading in an unknown direction. He is described as a white male, wearing a grey cap with the word "State" embroidered on it and a black jacket covering a shirt that also had the wording "State."
Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of the man is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.
