FORT MYERS, Fla-- Vice Presidential candidate Senator Tim Kaine was in Fort Myers Saturday afternoon speaking at the FSW campus. Kaine talked a lot about the differences between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, as well as encouraging voters to head to the polls in full force Tuesday.

"The beauty of our country is our great diversity and we are stronger together," said Kaine.

Attendees showing up to support the VP candidate for a variety of reasons.

"I'm really worried about the future of the economy," said FSW student Joshua Ruiz.

Many of the supporters in attendance had already taken advantaged of early voting.

"Because I might die before I get a chance to vote," said attendee Betty Bainbridge.

But Kaine was also pushing Floridians who have yet to vote to get to the polls Tuesday, reminding them of the 2000 election.

"Why wait until Mountain time to find out who the president is, why wait until Pacific time, let's win this one in Eastern time with Florida behind Hillary Clinton," said Kaine.

Voters at the rally said they are optimistic about Tuesday's results.

"You know who they trust and who they think will put out the best image for our country and who will work to take care of people and instead of attacking people and I think that is Hillary Clinton and her running mate Tim Kaine," said Rebecca Harris.

Part of the big push in Florida, Senator Kaine also stopped in Tampa and Sarasota before leaving the state.
