Sketch released of Naples carjacking suspects

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. --  Detectives are asking for the public’s help identifying two men whom detectives would like to question in connection with an armed carjacking in Golden Gate on Oct. 5.

Detectives released sketches of the two suspects in the hope someone will recognize them and contact law enforcement.

Detectives said they are described as light-skinned Hispanic males possibly of Cuban descent.

The victim told deputies he was attacked by four men who pulled him from his vehicle and beat him with baseball bats near the intersection of Monarch Circle and Prince Andrew Boulevard around 6:30 p.m., according to Collier County Sheriff’s Office reports. The victim said one of the men pointed a gun at him, reports said.

One of the men took the victim’s car while the other fled in a black car, reports said.

The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, reports said.

An investigation continues.
