CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) - Police say a 20-month-old boy has died after being hit by a sports utility vehicle in Clearwater.
The driver stopped after the crash just after 9 p.m. Wednesday. Clearwater police say the child was taken to Morton Plant Hospital where he died early Thursday.
Authorities have not released the names of those involved in the crash. The driver agreed to a voluntary blood draw to check her blood-alcohol level.
It wasn't immediately known why the child was in the street.
