Caught on Camera: Daycare director abuses child

Posted

CLEARMONT, Fla. - A daycare director in Florida landing behind bars for child abuse after a disturbing cell-phone video was given to police.

Clermont Police arrested 41-year-old Kimberly Reid, the director of Children's Palace Learning Center in Clermont after a daycare employee turned over the video that shows Reid hitting a 4-year-old boy several times, then lifting him several feet in the air, only to drop him on the ground. All of this taking place while the boy appeared to be resting.

Reid claims that she was playing with the boy, but police officials do not believe that to be true.

Police say the child in the video was not harmed. They are now looking into whether Reid, who was already on probation for welfare fraud and grand theft, should have been working at the daycare in the first place.
