Citrus Bowl becomes Camping World Stadium

Posted

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Orlando's Citrus Bowl will now be Camping World Stadium.

Officials announced Tuesday that RV retailer Camping World has signed a long-term exclusive rights deal to rebrand the 80-year-old venue effectively immediately.

Camping World Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis released a statement saying Florida is a key market for the company, with 14 locations, more than any other state. He said having a stadium naming rights deal was extremely important for the company's future.

Camping World also agreed to a multi-year sponsorship deal for the three upcoming neutral site college football games to be played at the stadium. Beginning with the Sept. 5 showdown between Florida State and Ole Miss, the games will be known as the Camping World Kickoff.

It was recently confirmed that the rivalry game between Florida and Miami will played at the stadium in 2019.
