TALLAHASSEE, Fla. --  Florida Governor Rick Scott is declaring he now has a "partner" in the White House, after sending his congratulations to President-elect Donald Trump through social media.

Scott tweeting on Wednesday: "Congrats to my friend, Donald Trump, our next president! Had a smooth election in Florida. Look forward to having a partner in the White House."

Governor Scott supported Trump early on, even chairing a Super-PAC on his behalf.

According to Politico, Scott has been rumored to be considered for a seat in Trumps cabinet as Health and Human Services Secretary. But Scott told CNN Wednesday that he plans to stick with his job as governor.
