If you’re looking for love, then you’re in the right place, according to a recent report by WalletHub.
Florida ranked number one as the best state for singles.
We’re not surprised. From beautiful beaches to decadent restaurants to amusement parks, there is something in Florida for every kind of single to have a little fun and potentially meet their match.
It's tied with California, Texas and New York for the most restaurants per capita, and ranked #6 for most movie theaters per capita.
WalletHub compared all 50 states across three dimensions:
- Dating Economics (i.e. movie costs, average beer and wine price, unemployment rate for single population)
- Dating Opportunities (i.e. share of single adults, gender balance of singles, online dating opportunities)
- Romance & Fun (i.e. restaurants per capita, nightlife options per capita, crime rate)
Florida was rated the third best state for Dating Opportunities and fourth best for Romance & Fun. It also ranked in the top 10 for both percentage of singles (ranked number eight) and gender balance of singles (ranked number 10).
