LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Here's something changing in 2020 that could save you some money: bills for FPL customers will be lower.

Florida Power and Light, the state's largest power company, says they will pass on fuel savings to customers in 2020, which will lower typical monthly residential bills nearly $4.

The company says that long-term investments in state-of-the-art power plants led the way to lowering bills in the new year.

This means while costs for other goods and services have risen, FPL customer bills will be about the same as they were a decade ago.
