Parkland students and others gathered at the statehouse today to curb gun violence.
The group was pushing what it called a Peace Plan for a safer Florida.
It highlights bills that would further regulate guns in the state.
The policies would ban assault weapons and high capacity magazines and keep guns from those convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence plus require background checks to buy ammo.
Democrats are pitching the bills called on the GOP majority to schedule them for discussion.
The students echoed that.
