BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. -- Fire officials are monitoring a wildfire burning in the eastern Everglades near Alligator Alley.
According to the Florida Forest Service, the fire is burning about 1.2 miles north Interstate 75 and about 3.9 miles west of U.S. 27.
It's estimated to be approximately 15,000 acres.
Officials tell Fox 4 that since the fire in on conservation land and not threatening any structures, they will monitor it in case the smoke begins to affect roadways.
