Storms damage buildings in Lee County

Posted

LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- The clean up continues after a round of strong storms hit Southwest Florida Tuesday.

Check out the damage caused by strong winds in Cape Coral, where a building under construction on Pine Island Road sustained significant damage. More than dozen cinder blocks toppled from the roof, breaking apart and potentially causing a few setbacks.

And lightning causing some damage to an office building on Vector Avenue, which it's just off of U.S. 41 across from the Target Plaza in Fort Myers. The lighting strike to the building left a hole in the roof.

South Trail Fire did responded to the scene, but luckily no fire was found.
