FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Police say a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the roadway from east to west on Plantation Road.
Kieyanna Anderson crossed into the path of a 2002 Ford in an area not designed for pedestrian traffic and was struck.
She sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash but was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital.
Kieyanna was found at fault for violation of the right of way, crossing the roadway not in a crosswalk.
