A Fort Myers man was arrested after he was caught on camera stealing a surveillance system from El Dorado Pawn on Palm Beach Boulevard.
Guadalupe Ruiz, 48, was arrested Saturday for burglary, grand theft, and criminal mischief. He stole six surveillance cameras from the business. This is his seventh booking in the Lee County Jail, and he is being held without bond.

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Investigators are hoping to identify a thief that graciously provided clear close-up photos of his face before stealing surveillance equipment from a pawn shop.
The theft happened Sunday morning at El Dorado Pawn on Palm Beach Boulevard.
According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, the male suspect is seen on camera around 10:30 a.m., riding a red bicycle on the shop's property. He then cut a hole in the security fence and entered the business.
One inside, he began dismantling the video surveillance system until the system was finally shut down. However, the recorder managed to capture crystal clear images of the suspect before it was disabled.
In total, six surveillance cameras were cut and stolen from the outside of the business.
