'Suspicious incident' prompts FSW closure

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- A 'suspicious incident' on the Collier County campus of Florida SouthWestern State College on Tuesday afternoon prompted an early closure for the campus starting at 4PM.

Around 1PM campus police were told of a suspicious Snapchat and contacted administration and the Collier County Sheriff's Office. The deputies came to the campus and located the student in the library for interviewing. 

Students were allowed to leave immediately after 4PM  with no penalty. The school's public information officer said the campus located at 7505 Grand Lely Drive, is not on lockdown. 

Classes and activities will resume on Wednesday at 8AM.
