LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for help identifying one or more individuals who are believed to be responsible for a series of lawn equipment thefts in the Lehigh Acres area over the last two weeks.

According to Crime Stoppers, deputies say the spree started on November 26 and has continued as recently as Monday, December 6th.  In each instance, lawn maintenance equipment has been discretely stolen from the open beds of work trucks while employees were otherwise occupied.

In total, detectives are working on seven separate cases and they believe that each crime is being perpetrated by the same suspect or suspects.

Anyone with information on the person or persons responsible for these thefts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip on the P3Tips app.
