LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Thousands of people are monitoring the Southwest Florida Eagle Cam, hoping for a glimpse of Harriet and M15's eaglet that hatched Tuesday morning, and awaiting the arrival of its sibling.
The little eaglet's egg was laid by Harriet on December 19th and was followed by a second egg on December 22nd.
The first eaglet, named E7, hatched at 7:23am Tuesday.
It's possible the second egg will hatch in the next few days, and many eagle watchers around Southwest Florida and around the world are very excited about the new addition to the nest.
