Blind and deaf puppy adopted, two more remain

Posted

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- One of three blind and deaf puppies at the Gulf Coast Human Society has found a new home, but two more loving families are still needed.

Last week, Fox 4 brought you the story of puppies Helen, Keller, and Wanderer, the 10-week-old Louisiana Catahoula Leopard dogs that are just like all the other puppies, with the exception of being able to see and hear.

Staff at the shelter say they are looking for a very special forever family with a catch: they should already have a dog that would help the new puppy learn the ropes - ideally a dog that maybe lost its companion or sibling and needs something to do and help these little guys.

We've now learned that Helen has already been adopted.  The adopting family saw their story on Fox 4 and contacted the shelter.

If you know anyone or any dog that can give these pups a great forever home, head over to the Gulf Coast Humane Society in Fort Myers.
