Three injured in alcohol-related rollover crash near FGCU

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A 21-year-old is in the hospital with serious injuries after a rollover crash overnight.

It happened around 1 a.m. Thursday morning on Ben Hill Griffin Parkway north of Estero Parkway, which is near Florida Gulf Coast University.

According to Florida Highway Patrol the car was headed southbound on Griffin Parkway when it drove off the road, hit a median and flipped over several times.

One person, 21-year-old Zachary Williford, was taken to Lee Memorial with serious injuries.  The other two occupants only had minor injuries.

The three men told troopers they had no memory of the crash, nor did they know who was driving.

Troopers say the crash was alcohol related.  The crash remains under investigation
