The murder of a Cape Coral man gunned down outside of a TJ Maxx remains a mystery two years later.

Thursday marks the two year anniversary of Al Griffith's death and detectives say their aren't any new developments in the case.

The 54-year-old was shot three times, while taking a break outside of TJ Maxx along Del Prado Blvd South store just before 9 p.m. on Nov. 18th. One of the gun shots hit him in the head as he sat on a bench outside of the store.

"Three bullets, three pops and the one that did the most damage was on his head," said Al's sister, who asked not to be identified.

A sketch was released in connection to the murder; however, Crimestoppers spokesperson Trish Routte says the image may not be accurate.

"After this happened we've kind of strayed from the sketch's a little bit so we're kind of back at ground zero," said Trish.

When Four In Your Corner asked the Cape Coral Police Department about the sketch a spokesperson chose not to comment, and said the case is still active but detectives don't have any new leads in the case due to a lack to eye witness tips.

"No eye witnesses and no cameras in the area to go by to see somebody running there's not a lot to go on," said Corporal Phil Mullen, Cape Coral Public Affairs Office.

Despite the lack of eye witnesses coming forward, Griffith's sister has faith someone saw something in the busy parking lot that night.

According to Cape Coral Police, the shooter is believed to be in his 40's between 5'6 and 6-feet, with light or white hair.
He was wearing light framed glasses. Detectives think he ran from scene and got in a light-colored car, possibly a cavalier or impala.

His sister says she has no idea why anyone would attack him. Now she's holding on to the hope that someone has the missing to her brother's death.

"None of this makes sense to me but like I said before I know somebody out there knows something and in my heart of hearts I wish that person would come forward."
