The National Weather Service has allowed a tornado warning for parts of Charlotte and Lee counties to expire. The warning was issued just after 2:30 Monday morning and the all clear was given at 3:00 a.m.

The areas affected included portions of SE Charlotte and NE Lee. There is still a threat of this type of activity throughout the morning as Tropical Storm Colin churns in the Gulf of Mexico.

Flooding and severe weather is possible in Southwest Florida for the next 24-48 hours.

There have been no reports of touchdowns or damage.

If you find yourself part of one of these warnings, find the center area of your homes, stay away from doors and windows and cover yourself.
