Truck sought in bridge projectile incident

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Police hope these photos can help identify the occupants of a truck that reportedly threw an item at bicyclists on a Southwest Florida bridge.

The truck appears to be a newer model, four door, Ford F-150 4x4 with a silver tool box in the bed.  The vehicle may also have a Florida Gators specialty license plate. The front passenger is described as a white male, wearing sunglasses.

According to Fort Myers Police, on Sunday at around 7:30pm, two bicyclists were riding south across the Edison Bridge when the truck approached them from behind.  A person in the passenger seat then threw an item from the truck, hitting one of the bicyclists.

The truck was last observed southbound over the bridge.
