CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- Two separate crashes involving semi trucks Wednesday are causing traffic delays; one on Interstate 75, and one on Bermont Road.
The Bermont Road crash happened around 11:15 a.m. at the intersection with State Road 31 east of Punta Gorda. Florida Highway Patrol says there is complete roadblock at the intersection where a truck overturned, causing injury.
The other crash is in the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 near mile marker 170, just south of the Kings Highway exit in Port Charlotte.
In that crash, a semi truck jack-knifed, causing a small fuel spill, according to Charlotte County Fire & EMS. The outside lane is blocked at that scene.
