PUNTA GORDA, Fla. -- Police say they were able to apprehend two men shortly after burglarizing a condo unit in the Clipper Cove complex Thursday.

According to Punta Gorda Police, confidential intelligence information tipped them off to the crime.  Detectives set up surveillance in the neighborhood and witnessed 35-year-old Efrain Ruiz sitting in a vehicle in the condo's parking lot, and 31-year-old Alvaro Uzcategui walking out to the car from a unit.

The men were stopped as they left, and burglary tools were discovered in their car.  Police also confirmed a unit had been burglarized.

Both men were arrested and charged with Burglary of a Dwelling, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Unlawful Use of Two-Way Radio during a Felony. They're being held at the Charlotte County Jail on no bond.

Additional criminal charges may be filed on the men.
