4 in Your Corner is covering the races you decide, taking a look at the Lee County Supervisor of Elections contest, where incumbent Sharon Harrington has lost her seat to Tommy Doyle.

Doyle received 54% of the vote Tuesday.

Harrington first won the office in 2004, but she had been with the elections office long before that -- a total of 27 years.  She came under fire for problems with Lee County's  voting system over the years.

But Tuesday night, Harrington says she's proud of her staff and saying goodbye is definitely bittersweet.  "Well I'm disappointed. I'm certainly not going to say I'm not, cause this is my life, this is what I do, and I love what I do.  But the voters have spoken and this is why we have elections."

As far as life after this role, Harrington says she doesn't have anything set in stone, but is looking forward to retirement.

As for Tommy Doyle, he will take over as the Supervisor of Elections office in January.
