USPS says Monday is expected to be the busiest day in the nation for Post Offices, with more than 2 million people making a visit. It is also considered the busiest mailing day for holiday cards and packages.

They are expecting to process 658 million pieces of mail Monday alone. In Lee and Collier counties, they'll be busy post marking nearly 1.5 million cards and letters which is about 1,000 per minute.

To ensure your letter or package gets to its destination by Christmas, the deadline for first-class mail is Tuesday. For priority mail, you have until Wednesday. For priority mail express, the deadline is Friday.
