LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - A deadly crash shut down Lee Boulevard near the intersection of Ida Avenue N. in Lehigh Acres Monday evening.
The Florida Highway Patrol says 46-year-old Meria Ann Jiles attempted to cross Lee Boulevard just before 7 p.m. when she was struck by an eastbound pickup truck.
Jiles was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation. The roadway has since reopened.
