LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- The state attorney has officially indicted the man arrested in connection with a double murder in Cape Coral 26 year ago.
54-year-old Joseph Zieler has pleaded not-guilty to five charges, including sexual battery and first-degree murder.
Investigators say Zieler killed and raped 11-year-old Robin Cornell and Lisa Story back in 1990. And they say DNA collected at the scene linked Zieler to the crime.
But he claims he doesn't even remember anything past 1998 because of a motorcycle crash.
