The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office released this statement about the shooting:
"Through the investigation, including statements and evidence found at the scene, the incident appears to have been an accidental discharge where two subjects were struck by fragmentations and sustained non-life-threatening injuries."

- The sheriff's office says two people were injured in the shooting
- Both people are expected to be ok
- The sheriff's office says the shooter has been cooperative
- The sheriff's office says it's conducting a search warrant at the home

Charlotte County Deputies are investigating a shooting that happened just after midnight on Monday morning.

For hours they had part of Lakeshore Circle closed off, while they investigated.
Investigators tell Fox 4 one person was shot at the house. They have not said if there were any injuries or if they have the shooter in custody.
