FORT MYERS, Fla — Salty Papa's Shrimp House will close on Christmas Eve to help feed 1,000 people in need.

The owners and staff will be volunteering their time cooking and boxing meals for people and for food pantries, churches, or other caregivers who may have lacked funds this year.

They say each box will have turkey and gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, fresh green beans, and dinner rolls.

They say all meals will be safely prepared and refrigerated so people can warm them up whenever they wish to celebrate Christmas.

Meals can be picked up between 12 pm and 4 pm on Christmas Eve.

The restaurant is always accepting donations of store-bought Christmas candy and cookies for children before December 23rd.
