FORT MYERS, Fla. — In a letter to parents, the Diocese of Venice in Florida addressed families about a confirmed case of COVID-19.
The letter confirmed that an employee of Bishop Verot High School had tested positive for the coronavirus.
“I applaud the School Administration and Staff for their immediate action. The health and safety of our employees and students are top priorities, and in these unprecedented times, these priorities continue to guide our operational decisions”. Said Rev. John Belmonte, S.J., Ph.D. Superintendent of Catholic Education.
The letter states they have taken quick action to sanitize the spaces the employee may have been properly.
The employee is in quarantine and cannot return to campus until they receive a negative result.
