CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Local microbreweries are busy making more changes to business after Florida's recent ban on alcohol consumption due to the coronavirus.

It now has several businesses in the area questioning and worrying what it means for beer sales.

Scotty's Bierwerks in Cape Coral says they never received a notice, so the news was surprising.

Several of their local brews just received national awards in the last couple months.

The order means they can no longer serve people inside their brewery and tasting room. Instead, Scotty's is now offering a beer drive-thru with curbside pickup.

With the July 4th weekend coming up, they say it's important that residents support local breweries now more than ever.

Scotty's Bierwerks is also scheduling local food trucks to set up outside their location everyday at 901 E Industrial Cir.
