Art in August at Fishermen's Village
Punta Gorda, Fla. - Arts in August is the Visual Arts Center's bi-annual art festival at Fisherman’s Village, right across the street from the VAC, on the water. Singer - Songwriter Competition
Fort Myers, Fla. - The Third Annual Summer Singer-Songwriter Competition closes out the series on August 23rd. Experience an evening of original music from local and national competitors. See performers play for a chance to win prizes and a spot at the Island Hopper Songwriter Fest! The competition focuses on original musicians in the singer-songwriter genre. Each year, SBDAC offers singer-songwriters the opportunity to perform an original song live, and win great prizes! Join us for the final performance of the Summer series, and support local, original music! College students get 2 for 1 tickets with a valid student ID. Present your student ID at the box office.

Love that Dress Collier
Naples, Fla. - Love That Dress! Collier is the largest fund-raising event benefiting the Pace Center for Girls, Collier at Immokalee. Love That Dress! is the ultimate feel-good shopping spree of the year, where more than 500 fashionistas will enjoy an amazing inventory of dresses, a fabulous silent auction area with over $50,000 worth of items and packages, raffle prizes, vendors music and fun. Buy a VIP ticket for $150 and you will receive early entrance into the ballroom at 5pm. Enjoy the VIP lounge area with appetizers, two free drink tickets, and private dressing rooms.
