FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium seeks community support as the nonprofit fundraises for a new planetarium projector.
The planetarium is the only one in the Southwest Florida region, and until the projector is repaired, the nature center's staff says they can only show flat screen shows.
The planetarium was built back in 1986.
The Calusa Nature center is a 105 acre site with a natural history museum, rescued animal exhibits, a bird and butterfly aviary, three nature trails and planetarium theater.
