NAPLES, Fla. --Lucky's Market is bringing the heat for the second year in a row. From August 28th - September 4th its holding Green Chile Fest at all its local stores.
The store sells authentic roasted New Mexico Hatch Green Chiles, grown in Hatch Valley, New Mexico, which have gained popularity over the years. Lucky's Market will also have recipe's available.
“They are peppers specific to that region, so you can’t get them anywhere else, they aren’t grown anywhere else, and you’ll have a hard time finding them anywhere else in Southwest Florida,” said Olivia Clay, Assistant Store Director, Lucky's Market.
According to Lucky's Market, green chiles are high in Vitamin C. Eating one medium size green chile is the equivalent of consuming six oranges. The spices in the chile also can speed up metabolism.
