BOKEELIA, Fla. -- Adam's Animal Encounters educates the public about the importance wildlife has on our ecosystem.
During the height of hurricane season, Adam has a Captive Wildlife Critical Incident/Disaster Plan in place by law through the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. This ensures safety of animals and our local ecosystems.
“We have bag everything up, put everything in solid bins, we have to have capture equipment, gloves, snares and nooses, all set up in the facility which we have in the bins around,” said Adam Pottruck, Director/Lead Educator, Adam's Animal Encounters.
Pottruck has anywhere from 80 to 120 rescued animals in his facility, made up of forty different species.
