FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Collings Foundation's Wings of Freedom Tour is bringing rare World War II aircraft to Southwest Florida this week.

The tour brings a P-51 Mustang fighter, P-40 Warhawk, and B-24 Liberator bomber for people to explore up close and even take a flight in.

The tour travels to 110 cities throughout the year. They say it's purpose is to honor the nation's veterans and educate youth on the importance of WWII history.

Monday through Thursday several aircraft are on display at the Page Field airport in Fort Myers. By Thursday afternoon, the exhibit is moving to Naples to observe throughout the weekend.

Tickets to view the aircraft in the Wings of Freedom Tour are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12.
