The actress and philanthropist has partnered with vitafusion to launch the second year of their “Fruit Tree Project,” an educational, hands-on initiative aimed at helping to increase access to fresh fruit for local communities by planting fruit trees in areas in need. This year, the “Fruit Tree Project” will focus on rebuilding and re-growing communities that were seriously impacted by natural disasters. Being from Florida, an area hit hard by recent storms, the star was happy to join the cause committed to planting more than 200,000 trees in communities in need by 2020 and she’s sharing how you can get involved too.
Throughout the year, vitafusion will be visiting communities throughout the U.S., (New York City, Houston, Miami, Los Angeles and the San Francisco area), to build orchards throughout city parks, public schools and community centers through the “Fruit Tree Project.” In its second year, vitafusion and Brittany Snow will be asking people to join in the mission by sharing the hashtag #FruitTreePose on social media. For every image shared using the hashtag vitafusion will plant a fruit tree, helping continue to push towards the larger mission.
