Dr. McVige is a Neurologist who specializes in adult headache/concussion, pediatric neurology, and neuroimaging. She is currently an attending physician with Dent Neurologic Institute in Buffalo, NY. She attended the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo for both medical school and residencies in pediatrics and neurology. She then went on for fellowship training in headache and neuroimaging at Dent Neurologic Institute. She has a Masters degree in Behavioral Neuroscience and Psychology from SUNY at Buffalo. She has worked as a neuropsychology and EEG technician. She was also a counselor for children with pervasive developmental disorders and for those who were maltreated. She has studied in Kenya, Africa and researched issues involving emotional expression and communication. Dr. McVige is board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology, Pediatric Neurology, Adult and Pediatric Headache Medicine, and Neuroimaging.

Dr. McVige is currently working with retired NFL players, the Buffalo Sabres, local professional sports teams and the junior Buffalo Sabres. She is a lead researcher for many past and ongoing studies. She is the Director of the Concussion Clinic at Dent Neurologic Institute, the Concussion Connection Support Group, and is currently on the Board of Directors for the American Society of Neuroimaging. She is a volunteer on the board for Summit (Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder) and the Miracle League (a modified baseball association for blind and disabled children).
