UPDATE: The fire is 100% contained as of Friday night.

Fire crews are battling a brush fire near a mobile home park in San Carlos Park.
The fire started around 2 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. 41 and Unique Circle. Sanibel Blvd and 41 to Hickory Drive is shut down as crews fight the 114 acre fire. Fire crews say the fire is now 100 percent contained, and it is no longer threatening homes at this time. Those living in the area have been allowed to return to their homes.
No one was hurt and no structures were damaged.
