COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- Fire authorities are evacuating neighborhoods east of Collier Boulevard due to a large fire in Picayune Strand near Naples.
According to the Caloosahatchee Forestry Center, mandatory evacuations are in effect for Naples Club RV, Panther Walk RV, Forest Glen Golf 7 Country Club, and horse stable along Neuman Drive.
These areas are all off Beck Boulevard and east of Collier Boulevard.
Collier County Emergency Management reports a reception center for evacuees has been set up at Golden Gate Community Center (4701 Golden Gate Parkway) if needed.
A 2nd reception center has been opened at Eagle Lakes Park (11565 Tamiami Trail E.).
