Here is your forecast for Tuesday, August 27th, 2024

Isolated storms will linger through the evening, producing pockets of heavy rain lightning. We're expecting these storms to wind down by 10pm.

Overnight, partly cloudy skies are forecast with lows in the mid to upper 70s.

We'll start off Wednesday with lots of sunshine. Around Noon, inland showers and storms will begin to fire up near Lake Okeechobee. Storms will then become more numerous, moving westward, impacting all of SWFL mainly after 2pm. Heavy downpours and lightning will remain the primary threats. These storms will quiet down after sunset and clear out by 10pm.

High temperatures will run in the lower 90s and feel more like 100-105° with the humidity.

Our afternoon stormy pattern will continue through Friday.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND OUTLOOK: Looking ahead to the holiday weekend, our weather pattern will shift, bringing a higher chance for showers and storms earlier in the day. This may lead to more impacts to outdoor plans, especially on Labor Day.
