Storm surge levels reducing as Milton weakens

Hurricane Milton storm surge heights are reducing in various locations in Southwest Florida, with significant improvements in Fort Myers, North Naples Bay, and Bonita Springs.

Downtown Fort Myers has seen a peak of 5.25 feet reduced to 4.4 feet.

Milton, initially a strong storm, is now a Category 1 storm and weakening as it moves away from the coast.
