CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- As county residents begin preparing for a possible landfall of Hurricane Irma in the area, county officials are urging residents to make their own arrangements for sandbags, if needed.
According to a county press release Tuesday, Charlotte County does not provide sandbags or sandbag materials.
Residents who want to use sandbags should make their own arrangements by patronizing a local building supply store.
When residents have questions, they can dial 211 24 hours a day to get answers.
