COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- The mandatory curfew that's been in place in Collier County and the City of Naples has been lifted.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office made the announcement Monday morning. They say they will add extra patrols to neighborhoods and commercial districts in absence of a curfew.

Although the curfew has lifted, officials say it is important to remember that deputies may still make contact with anyone who is in a place at a time or manner not normal for citizens to be. They may also detain individuals if they have reasonable suspicion that they have engaged in, are engaging in or are about to engage in criminal activity.

The Collier County Information Hotline remains active. Residents with questions may call the Hotline at (239) 252-8444 (within Collier County residents may dial 311).

Information can also be found at colliergov.net or social media channels, including Facebook and Twitter.

In Lee County, the three remaining curfews in Village of Estero, the City of Bonita Springs and the area within the Lehigh Acres Fire District have all been lifted.  There are no more curfews in Lee County.
