LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- The latest power outage number from FloridaDisaster.org indicate that the number of customers without power continue to decline.
They report that 55% of Collier County is still without power. Lee County sits at 56% without power.
46% of Hendry County is in the dark, 27% of Charlotte County is without power, DeSoto has 31%, and Glades is at 19%.
We've just received a brand new report from LCEC that says 28% of their customers are without power, for a total of 61,152 customers.
As of Friday morning, Florida Power & Light reports the following outages in Southwest Florida:
Collier County: 100,870 customers
Lee County: 109,690 customers
Charlotte County: 29,960 customers
Hendry County: 5,160 customers
Glades County: 770 customers
LCEC says that more than 1,000 resources will be working Friday to help with restoration efforts. They ask that customers remain patient and allow crews to conduct restoration efforts as they begin to work their way into neighborhoods.
