Parts of Southwest Florida are now in a Tropical Storm Warning after the 5pm advisory from the National Weather Service.

Glades, Hendry and inland Collier County (east of Interstate 75) are under a Tropical Storm Warning, Lee and Charlotte Counties are under a Tropical Storm Watch, with Lake Okeechobee under a Hurricane Watch.

The Southwest Florida coast stretching from Charlotte County to southern Collier County are now under a Tropical Storm Watch.

This means these areas have a chance of experiencing Tropical Storm force winds that are 40mph and higher.
