HENDRY COUNTY, Fla. -- Shelters for those who need it during the event of Hurricane Irma will open in two Southwest Florida counties on Friday afternoon.
In Hendry County, the following shelters will open at 3pm Friday:
- Labelle Middle School, 8000 E Cowboy Way, LaBelle
- County Oaks Elementary School, 2052 NW Eucalyptus Blvd, LaBelle, Fl
- Labelle High School, 4050 E. Cowboy Way, LaBelle, Fl
A Special Needs Shelter will open at 2pm at West Glades School, 2500 S Co Rd 731 SW, LaBelle. Persons in need must have a caretaker with them while staying at the shelter.
Please bring enough food and water for 3 days.
In Glades County, the following shelters will open at 5:50pm Friday:
- Maple Grove Baptist Church, 12777 E. State Road 78, Moore Haven (350 people)
- West Glades Elementary, 2586 C.R. 731, Building 500, LaBelle (330 people)
- Moore Haven High School Gym, 700 Terrier Pride Drive SW, Moore Haven (500 people)
PSN ONLY: West Glades Elementary **must be registered** (60 people)
